As an Expertise Lead Strategy, you are responsible for expanding and deepening the bank's complex strategic objectives. Are you looking for a role where your expertise is at the forefront? Then this is your opportunity!

What will you do?

The mission of the CEO domain is to ensure the future sustainability of the bank by promoting and leading a clear strategic direction with a solid foundation and a powerful positioning. As the Expertise Lead Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in creating the corporate strategy, and you will translate strategy into concrete objectives. The core of the role is to develop and apply strategic expertise insights in order to contribute to the success and future resilience of the bank. Stakeholder management is a key component as well, you have to be comfortable to bring an independend perspective to a senior audience.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 3-4 specialists and ensure knowledge development and professional growth.
• Advise management and the executive board on strategic choices and the impact of the subject matter expertise.
• Develop, monitor and evaluate policies, frameworks and standards within your area of expertise.
• Stimulate continuous improvement and innovation within the area of expertise.
• Optimize collaboration with other departments to integrate expertise into the organization.

This is where you'll work

Corporate Strategy is part of the CTO domain (under CEO). Expertise Lead Strategy will therefore report to the CTO. The MT of CTO consists of Corporate Strategy, Transformation Office, and Strategic Portfolio Office

Your qualities 

As an Expertise Lead Strategy, you are committed to shaping long-term strategic objectives. You work closely with the CTO and the management team. In this role, you not only guide processes, but also delve into the content to facilitate strategic decision-making. You approach your work in a careful and collaborative manner. You manage your own team, and also make connections beyond your team. This allows you to convey the substance of your advice and analyses clearly and effectively. Additionally, you easily build a network within and outside the bank.

• Academic work and thinking level.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior (expert) role in Strategy execution.
• Independent perspective and leadership qualities to operate as a sparring partner of management members.
• Experience in policy development and change management.
• Knowledge of and experience in the banking sector is an asset.
• Well-developed organizational sensitivity and communication skills.

What do we offer?

This position is in scale 13 with a salary range between € 91.396,- and € 140.609,- gross annual fixed income (13th month and 8% holiday allowance included) and based on 36 hours workweek. In addition, you can count on:
