Senior Strategy Engagement Manager
NN Group is accelerating its Future Ready transformation, with a strong focus on becoming a data-driven, digitally enabled organisation. At the core of this journey, the Strategy & Transformation Office is expanding its internal Strategy Consulting Pool to meet growing demand for high-impact strategic work across digital, data & AI, and organisation transformation topics.
What you are going to do
In this role, you will work on board-level priorities, combining structured problem solving with hands-on execution. You will help shape and deliver end-to-end transformations, from defining strategy to driving implementation and measurable impact.
Recent engagements include shaping the NN Bank strategy, defining a group-wide commercial strategy, and advancing cross-group transformation initiatives, often at the intersection of business, technology, people and data. You will also collaborate closely with leading external consulting firms when relevant, jointly developing insights, facilitating workshops, and translating strategy into execution.
As a Senior Engagement Manager, you shape and lead the most critical corporate strategy and transformation topics across NN Group, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. You define strategic direction at group and business unit level and steer large-scale transformation programmes from design through to execution. You work on topics such as group strategy, enterprise-wide transformation, operating model evolution and strategic portfolio choices. You engage directly with MB and MB-1 stakeholders, challenge and refine strategic choices and support decision-making on high-impact topics. You ensure alignment between strategy and execution, and oversee multiple initiatives to drive consistent and measurable outcomes. You play a key role in further developing the Strategy & Transformation Office, strengthening its impact, capabilities and positioning within the organisation.

Who you are
- > 10 years of experience in a top-tier (strategy) consulting firm or in senior strategy and transformation roles, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering impactful results
- Ability to combine deep strategic insight with effective execution in complex organisational environments
- Proven credibility at senior levels, with the capacity to influence stakeholders and guide decision-making on high-impact topics
- Strong leadership capabilities, fostering trust, developing teams, and driving results through others
- Extensive experience in corporate strategy and transformation, with a comprehensive understanding of the role of digital, data, and AI as enablers
- Fluent in both Dutch and English
- Strong affinity with the financial services sector
Who you will work with
You are part of the Strategy & Transformation Office which consists of two teams: Portfolio management Future Ready programme and the Strategy Consulting Pool. The team has a direct reporting line to the CEO of NN Group. The Strategy Consulting Pool is a small, high-performing team with strong consulting backgrounds.
The team is based in The Hague and works onsite at least two days per week, with the option to meet in Amsterdam when relevant.
